I am well trained in the art of psychotherapy, and my specialty in psychiatry is the science of psychopharmacology - the use of medications to treat emotional and behavioral disorders.

Research continues to show that these disorders (depression, anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, PMS, obsessive-compulsive disorder, attention deficit disorder, hyperactivity and schizophrenia) have a physical cause - imbalanced brain chemistry. The medications rebalance brain chemistry so the brain can heal itself. If therapy is also necessary, it is usually more effecitve in cost and time after the physical illness is treated.

I am an independent, solo practioner. I am not on any hospital payroll. I do not participate in any HMO or any insurance program. However, your insurance may cover a portion of my fee. This allows me to put my patients' needs first without covert interference from any corporate or government bureaucracy. This allows me to provide the most personalized, confidential care possible.
